This Company Host Job Shadowing Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between the hosting company, hereinafter referred to as the "Company," and Shadow the Life, a website for job shadowing connections, hereinafter referred to as "Shadow the Life."
Safety Standards and Observational Nature: The Company agrees to abide by all safety standards and protocols required by law and industry best practices during the job shadowing experience. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of the participating student ("Student") throughout the job shadowing period.
The Company understands and acknowledges that the job shadowing experience provided to the Student is strictly observational in nature. The Student shall not be assigned any tasks, duties, or responsibilities related to the Company's regular business operations.
Non-Employment Status: The Company acknowledges that the Student participating in the job shadowing program is not an employee of the Company. The Company shall not treat the Student as an employee and shall not be responsible for providing any compensation, benefits, or privileges typically granted to employees.
Internship Opportunities: The Company reserves the right to offer the Student an opportunity to apply for an internship position within the Company at the conclusion of the job shadowing period. However, this offer does not guarantee the Student's acceptance into the internship program, and the decision to extend such an offer remains solely at the discretion of the Company.
Liability and Indemnification:bThe Company agrees to assume liability for any harm, injury, or damages to the Student during the job shadowing experience only if such harm, injury, or damages are caused directly by the Company's negligence or fault. The Company shall not be held liable for any harm, injury, or damages caused by the Student's fault or any other third parties unrelated to the Company.
No Claims Against Shadow the Life: By participating in job shadowing or any interactions with Students or schools facilitated through the website of Shadow the Life, the Company understands and agrees that it shall not hold Shadow the Life responsible or liable for any harm, whether to individuals or to the Company, including but not limited to damages, injuries, or losses that may arise from such activities. The Company further understands and agrees that it shall not bring any legal action, claim, demand, or lawsuit against Shadow the Life for any reason related to the job shadowing or any interactions with Students or schools facilitated through the website.
Termination of Account: Shadow the Life reserves the right to terminate the Company's account on the platform if any reports of wrongdoing, misconduct, or failure to comply with the terms of this Agreement are received from a school or Student.
Modification of Agreement: Shadow the Life reserves the right to modify, amend, or update this agreement at any time without prior notice. Any changes to this agreement will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the date of the latest revisions. Users are encouraged to review this page regularly to stay informed about any changes. By continuing to use Shadow the Life after any modifications to this agreement, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the revised terms.
Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Texas, without regard to its conflicts of law principles.
By joining Shadow the Life or participating in hosting a job shadowing through Shadow the Life, the Company acknowledges that it has read, understood, and agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Company Host Job Shadowing Agreement.
